who do you love?

do you belong to the 95% of the world's population who purchased an I love New York t-shirt at some point? within the big apple this shirt is quite possibly the most inexpensive item of clothing anyone could buy. the current prize averages out at $2. the time when it was hip to wear one of those is long gone and the question remains - what to do with it? trash it? lock it up until it will be fashionable again in the 2030s? the gentleman below suggests to turn the message of love away from nyc and towards oneself. i like it.

Thursday

i'm a woman now

so yesterday was my birthday and i turned 26 which means i'm now in my early late twenties. like that wasn't sad enough i was bitter about being back in london where i never have any money and i never know whether to go to that party or read a book on mentalization (i study psychology). since i didnt bother making any celebration plans i stopped by at the dazed&confused party which wasn't really happening either. the hottest people of the night are the ones below

you may remember him. so hot.

famous fred - my only guy-friend who manages to steal all the hot straight boys from me

Wednesday

don't be fooled

it wasn't actually cold enough in berlin last weekend to justify this girl's fur hat and boots. i suppose that when you have 4 months of cold, those winter clothes sort of grow on you and some of us struggle to put them away for 2 and a half seasons. may this be the last fur hat i post until october.

Monday

sleepless nights in berlin

the weekend in berlin was much too short and now i'm back in in london. in 4 days i slept a total of 12 hours. whoever said new york was the city that never sleeps has obviously not been to berlin.

saturday night (and sunday morning) PICKNICK pics are here

Sunday

berlin is burning

berlin last night was on fire! so many hot people, i could barely breathe. after a steamy warm-up at CRUSH we finished the night at the evercool PICKNICK.
i'll post the party pictures tomorrow. until then - pick your favorite berliner:

Saturday

ladies is pimps too

here's the album of last night's VILLA in berlin. i had the best time ever.

click here to see all of last night's photos.

the average berliner friday night awesomeness

today i got home from last night's madness at 9 am! of course there are people in berlin for whom the party doesnt start before that. i had the best night at death by pop, where the fabulous liz dj's and after we sprinted over to the villa which is an amazing new venue and a worthy replacement for the much missed RIO. as soon as i sober up a bit more i'll try and get around to posting last night's party pictures.

Friday

mod berlin

there's quite a scene in berlin evolving around the memory of the 60's mod culture. stylewise they're definatley among my favorites. part of that crowd are actress and musician sadie and her boyfriend who was djing at 8mm last night.

meet my friends

coming back to berlin always feels like having your grandma make you hot chicken soup and providing you with all the dvd's you've ever wanted to watch. what i'm saying is, after the bust of london, paris or new york, berlin always makes me want to settle down and relax, meet a nice man and have kids and a dog. everyone here is just so laid-back and cool - a great place to meet some of the best people you'll ever meet.
i decided to give you a bit of insight into my circle of bff's. yesterday we met for a drink at 8mm, decidedly my favorite bar in this town and in my top 3 worldwide.

this is michael. he is 26 and from new york. after having lived in berlin on and off for almost 5 years and working primarily as a journalist, he now lives back in nyc where he's currently starting a business importing healthy german bread into unhealthy america. michael is super smart, super well organised and, well, super.

liz is 25 and "the cutest person in the world". she's one of the best dj's ever (you heard it here first) and will make your legs swing and your heart beat. she's adorable at not sticking to diet plans and is a mean karaoke partner.

drea is 28 and amazing. if i were a guy i'd ask her to marry me, because this girl can cook, blog and dance, which i still believe are the three most essential qualities a woman can have. she's a package of smartness and goodness and patience (all things one needs when puttin up with me.)

katja is 27 and an incessant source of inspiration to me. luckily she likes getting her picture taken so i can hassle her with my requests for poses and positions as much as i want. katja smokes too much, complains too much and has no clue how to spend money but she means well and is an overall lovely person.

Wednesday

could you be any more english?

spotted on kingsland road as he walked into a Tesco Express (note the daylight)

Tuesday

actual street fashion photographed on the street.

ok, it was after 11, but it's still theoretically street fashion.

Monday

berlin this weekend!

i'll be back in berlin between this thursday the 21st and monday the 25th. hoorah!! what are the better parties for thursday and friday?

get in touch if you know something i don't know.

saturday is picknick, of course.

Saturday

less is more

the other day i nearly made it into the london paper when i fell asleep with the electronic hot air heater on waking up 4 hours later and realising that the heater had melted all the plastic that was near, including the adapter i need to load the battery to my camera. so with low battery power and new shoes i went to Circus last night and made sure that no pictures would be wasted. quality, not quantity was the motto and below you find digital witnesses of some of last night's most fabulous attendants.
